



This course is taught as part of our Stcw 10 Basic Safety Training BST Week however we also offer this as an additional standalone course.
This 4 hour course is designed to give those on board ship who do not have a designated security duty the essential education and training to meet the requirements set out in the STCW code which supports Chapter XI-2 of the annex to the International Convention for the Safety of Life at Sea (SOLAS) 1974, as amended and the International Ship and Port Facility security (ISPS) Code.
Security awareness training must be undertaken by all seafarers employed or engaged in any capacity on ships which are required to comply with the ISPS Code.

There are no formal requirements for this course however you should be over 18 years of age.

This Course is MCA Stcw 10 Compliant
A certificate is awarded on the basis of continuous assessment.
Whilst there are many IMO members that deliver Stcw 10 Training our Basic Safety Training is delivered by MCA Approved Basic Training Centre's in English and students must be able to communicate and complete written assessments in English. Our Intensive Fast Track Yachtmaster Training Course - Fast Track YachtmasterPLUS includes the above training at an approved MCA Training Centre. MCA Stcw 10 Certificates are issued directly to students on the Friday.
